Lady Dufferin Hospital successfully hosted a two-day Training of Trainers Workshop on Lactation Management & Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative (BFHI), bringing together healthcare professionals to strengthen their knowledge, practical skills, and counseling approaches for improved maternal and newborn care.

Across the two days, participants explored essential aspects of breastfeeding, including the breastfeeding situation in Pakistan, BFHI 10 Steps for Sindh, optimal breastfeeding practices, counseling techniques, positioning and attachment, initiation of breastfeeding, expression of breastmilk, cup feeding, and common breastfeeding challenges.

The training also included clinical activities, demonstrations, and hands-on learning, providing participants with practical skills to better support mothers and newborns and promote successful breastfeeding practices.
