A comprehensive 5-hour workshop on the “PPH Bundle Approach” was successfully conducted on May 30, 2024, at Lady Dufferin Hospital. The workshop was led by a team of esteemed professionals, including Prof. Sadiah Ahsan Pal, Dr. Humera Mansour, Dr. Samra Rizwan Shamsi, Dr. Zeryab Setna, Dr. Bilquise Hashimi, Dr. Naveera Agha, Dr. Shagufta Shaheen and Dr. Falak Naz. The session aimed to equip doctors, nursing, and paramedical staff with the latest knowledge and skills to effectively manage Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) using the Bundle Approach. The interactive workshop covered theoretical and practical aspects, including hands-on training at skill stations. The participants gained valuable insights and expertise to enhance maternal healthcare and improve patient outcomes.

Objectives of the workshop:
•⁠ ⁠Manage Postpartum Hemorrhage (PPH) effectively using the Bundle Approach
•⁠ ⁠Ensure facility emergency readiness to respond to PPH cases
•⁠ ⁠Provide respectful maternity care to all patients
•⁠ ⁠Apply AMTSL (Advanced Management of Third Stage Labor) principles to prevent PPH
•⁠ ⁠Demonstrate skills in responding to refractory PPH through hands-on practice at skill stations
•⁠ ⁠Prevent and manage Iron Deficiency Anemia (IDA) in pregnant women

These objectives aim to equip healthcare providers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to provide high-quality care to pregnant women, prevent and manage PPH, and improve maternal health outcomes.
