Celebrating CSSD Day at Lady Dufferin Hospital! Today, our CSSD department led by Ms. Saima Rahim came together to honor the dedicated efforts of our sterilization team in maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and hygiene. A special cake-cutting ceremony was held with our esteemed Hospital Administrator, Qazi Tauqeer Ahmed, joining the celebration. A detailed session was conducted by the team of M/s. Medequips SMC by Mr. Daniyal Hussain – Sr. Product Specialist (Radiology Equipment), Ms. Rabiya Assad and Ms. Kinza Ali (Application Specialist Ultrasound) & Ms. Amal Fatima (Marketing Associate) on ‘Breast Cancer Awareness & Significance of Mammography and Ultrasound in its early diagnosis” for the radiology team dated on 24th October, 2024 at Radiology Department, OPD Building, Lady Dufferin Hospital.

Lady Dufferin Hospital (LDH) actively participated in the 21st Health Asia 2024 International Exhibition & Conferences, held from October 17th to 19th, 2024 at the Karachi Expo Centre. As Pakistan’s largest annual health event, organized by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd., the exhibition provided a vital platform for health stakeholders to connect and address key issues in the healthcare sector. An educational session on abdominal examination during pregnancy was organized at School of Midwifery Lady Dufferin Hospital, in collaboration with Cordoba INAH. The session featured a German midwifery instructor who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan. It was a live practical session on real pregnant woman. This initiative aimed to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals in maternal care.  

A one hour training session was conducted on 11th October, 2024 by Mr. Nazir Ali Bachlani CSSD Manager at The Indus Hospital & Network on “Best practices for infection control at the hospital, specifically at CSSD” for Lady Dufferin Hospital’s staff. This session informed participants about the essential infection control protocols and procedures within the CSSD.
