An educational session on abdominal examination during pregnancy was organized at School of Midwifery Lady Dufferin Hospital, in collaboration with Cordoba INAH. The session featured a German midwifery instructor who is currently on an official visit to Pakistan. It was a live practical session on real pregnant woman. This initiative aimed to enhance the skills of healthcare professionals in maternal care.  

A one hour training session was conducted on 11th October, 2024 by Mr. Nazir Ali Bachlani CSSD Manager at The Indus Hospital & Network on “Best practices for infection control at the hospital, specifically at CSSD” for Lady Dufferin Hospital’s staff. This session informed participants about the essential infection control protocols and procedures within the CSSD. It aimed to equip staff with the knowledge and skills needed to minimize infection risks while sterilizing medical equipment and supplies Key Topics Discussed:

A 4-hour Basic Life Support (BLS) training session for healthcare professionals was conducted on 27th September, 2024 at Lady Dufferin Hospital for our doctors and nursing staff by Dr. M. Irfan, an internationally certified Life Saving Skills Trainer and Manager of Training at DUHS.

We are delighted to express our profound gratitude to Pakistan State Oil – CSR Trust for their generous sponsorship of a fully equipped ambulance dedicated exclusively to transporting and caring for maternity patients at Lady Dufferin Hospital. This invaluable donation will greatly enhance our ability to provide swift and safe transport for expectant mothers, ensuring timely and essential care during emergencies. The President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, has conferred the ‘Hilal-e-Imtiaz’ upon our Medical Superintendent, Dr. Zeryab Setna, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the field of medicine. This prestigious national award was announced today, on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, and will be formally presented to Dr. Zeryab in a ceremony on March 23, 2025.  

A 1-hour training session was conducted by Dr. Saman Nadeem – Consultant Microbiologist & Infection Control Officer for all the healthcare workers of Lady Dufferin Hospital on the topic “Skin Infections, MRSA & Contact Precautions” dated on 9th August 2024.
