IN LAST 5 YEARS
Over a 125 years, since its inception the hospital has evolved into a state-of-the-art medical facility providing obstetric, gynecological and neo-natal pediatric services. Its philosophy has always been to provide the best medical care and modern facilities, irrespective of the socio-economic background of the patient - in line with the intentions of the founders and benefactors of the hospital. The hospital has one of the lowest maternal mortality rate-25.36 per 100,000 live births.
LDH Awareness Events & Fundraisers
A 1-hour training session was conducted by Dr. Saman Nadeem – Consultant Microbiologist & Infection Control Officer for all the healthcare workers of Lady Dufferin Hospital on the topic “Skin Infections, MRSA & Contact Precautions” dated on 9th August 2024.
On June 29, 2024, Dr. Saman Nadeem conducted a briefing on Labor and Delivery Policies. The session provided essential guidelines and protocols to ensure safe and effective labor and delivery practices. Participants were briefed on best practices, patient safety measures, and the importance of adherence to established policies to enhance maternal and neonatal care.
On June 26, 2024, Dr. Saman Nadeem conducted a training session on waste management for nursing, administrative, housekeeping staff, and doctors. The session focused on the importance of proper waste disposal and best practices to ensure a safe and hygienic healthcare environment.
On June 7, 2024, Dr. Saman Nadeem conducted a training session on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and Stewardship. The session focused on understanding AMR, its impact on public health, and strategies for effective antimicrobial stewardship. Participants learned about the importance of responsible antibiotic use and measures to prevent the spread of resistant infections.
A comprehensive 5-hour workshop on the “PPH Bundle Approach” was successfully conducted on May 30, 2024, at Lady Dufferin Hospital. The workshop was led by a team of esteemed professionals, including Prof. Sadiah Ahsan Pal, Dr. Humera Mansour, Dr. Samra Rizwan Shamsi, Dr. Zeryab Setna, Dr. Bilquise Hashimi, Dr. Naveera Agha, Dr. Shagufta Shaheen and Dr. Falak Naz.
